Loctite 277 is a red, high strength threadlocking adhesive. Suitable for locking and sealing large bolts and studs.

Features:

• Prevents loosening and leakage from shock & vibration: It fills all gaps between the mating threads and cures into a hard thermoset plastic that strengthens the assembly against shocks and seals the threads.
• High viscosity product: The high viscosity of the product makes it ideal for applications where migration of adhesive must be prevented.
• Fluorescent: It has a characteristic red colour that fluoresces under UV light. This helps during service to detect as to whether or not the product had been applied.
• It has a fixture time on steel of 30 minutes, brass for 25 minutes and stainless steel for 270 minutes.
• Localized heat may be required to weaken the bonds before disassembly.
